Because of the state-wide COVID-19 school shutdown, the audition window will be extended to WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25th. Any student that was unable to audition in-person with Mr. Woolwine may submit a video recording of "Danny Boy", using the accompaniment tracks on the "Auditions Page", via email to [email protected]. After March 25 the audition window will be officially closed and results will be posted.
Thanks to all that have been patiently waiting through these unforeseen circumstances. Those students that have auditioned in-person DO NOT need to submit a video. Also, only the "Danny Boy" portion of everyone's audition will be taken into consideration. Sight-reading will not count this year. Please spread the word to BMS students and other non-choir BHS students that are still wanting to audition.

The District Choir Assessment that was scheduled for this Friday in Lynchburg has been officially cancelled due to the COVID-19 state-wide school shut down. This is heart-breaking, as the students worked so hard all semester on their assessment music. All choirs were in great shape and would have certainly performed very well. As of now, this event will not be rescheduled for the current school year.
All-VA choir, that was scheduled to take place in Richmond on April 23-25 has been officially cancelled due to the COVID-19 state-wide school shutdowns. As of now, this event will not be rescheduled for the current school year. So proud of Emi Miyazaki, Marlee Van Mullekom, and Anna Beeken who would have represented BHS at this prestigious event.
HUGE congratulations to Caroline Bowman and Marlee Van Mullekom for representing BHS at the American Choral Directors Association Southern Division Honor Choir event this past weekend in Mobile, Alabama. Although the event was cut short by a day, due to COVID-19, the concert was still phenomenal! So proud of them for being selected to this prestigious event!
